Parish Picnic Thank You: Thank you to everyone who made our Annual Parish Picnic such a memorable evening. I especially want to thank the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make it happen. It was also a blessing to welcome back several former priests who have served our parish over the years. Seeing so many familiar faces, along with many new ones, was a wonderful reminder of the vibrant community God has entrusted to us. Thank you for being part of what makes St. Paul such a special parish.
Support for Those Affected by the Flooding: Last week, severe storms and historic flooding caused significant damage across parts of our Diocese, particularly in Perry and Muskingum Counties. Many of our brothers and sisters are facing tremendous loss, and some have been displaced from their homes. I ask you to please keep all those affected in your prayers. Bishop Fernandes has also asked parishes throughout the Diocese to take up a Second Collection next weekend, August 29–30, for the Spirit of Hope Disaster Response Fund. All funds collected will go directly toward relief efforts, supporting parishes in the affected communities as well as organizations such as Catholic Social Services and local St. Vincent de Paul conferences that are serving families in need. If you would like to contribute by check, please make your check payable to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and write “Spirit of Hope” in the memo line. You can click here to give online through the Diocese of Columbus website. Thank you for your generosity and, most importantly, for continuing to pray for all those who are suffering and for the communities beginning the difficult work of recovery. Please note that the second collection for WARM originally scheduled for August 29–30 has been moved to September 19–20.
Lift Your Voice at St. Paul: Do you love to sing? I invite you to consider sharing your gifts with our Sacred Music Ministry. Our Adult Choir welcomes adults and high school students, with no audition required. Come give it a try at Choir Kickoff Night on Thursday, August 27 at 7:00 PM in Lower Level Room 3.
