Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This weekend we celebrate the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time: The bulletin for this weekend,
October 11, can be found
here. Click

Feast of St. Carlo Acutis: This
Monday, October 12, we celebrate the feast of St. Carlo Acutis, a saint who has become especially dear to our parish. We were blessed to venerate his relics here at St. Paul last year and we named our gym in his honor. As we prepare to celebrate his feast day, I invite you to visit our
St. Carlo Acutis webpage where you can watch Msgr. Anthony Figueiredo’s homily and reflection from the relic visit and learn more about St. Carlo's life and his beautiful witness of faith.
Marriage Enrichment Opportunity: Tomorrow
after the 12:00 PM Mass, plan to join me and meet with other couples in Lower Level Room 3 to learn about the Together in Holiness formation series. This is a great opportunity for couples, especially those early in marriage or raising young families, to grow in faith and community. Pizza will be provided!
Attention Men of St. Paul: Do you want to put your faith in action? Consider joining your Catholic brothers in the Fraternity of the Knights of Columbus. Our Council at St. Paul has over 350 members who are called to lead with faith, protect families, serve others, and defend values in our ever-changing world. Membership is open to all Catholic men aged 18 and older. Our Knights will have an information table in the narthex this weekend. Stop by after Mass to learn more about their good works and how you can join. You can also learn more
here.
St. Vincent de Paul Collection Weekend: This weekend,
October 10-11, our St. Vincent de Paul Conference will hold its monthly
Food Pantry Drive and host the
SVDP Thrift Store donation trailer. Please place food donations in the blue bins in the Narthex. The Thrift Store trailer will be on parish grounds Saturday from 10:00 AM until after the 4:00 PM Mass and Sunday from 7:30 AM through the 5:00 PM Mass. Donations of clothing, shoes, small household items, and toys are welcome. Please note that we cannot accept cribs, car seats, mattresses, bed pillows, or large furniture. Thank you for your continued generosity and support of those in need!
Save the Date — Preparing Well: A Catholic Approach to Life, Death & Eternity: Mark your calendars for
Wednesdays, November 4 and 11, from 9:30–11:00 AM, for two special panel discussions featuring experts in estate planning, funeral planning, healthcare, and Catholic moral teaching. The first session will focus on practical preparations, including estate planning, funeral arrangements, and leaving a lasting legacy. The second will explore moral and healthcare decisions at the end of life, including hospice care, grief, and caring for loved ones. Whether planning for yourself or helping a family member, these are important conversations for all of us.
Preparing well is an act of faith and love. Watch for more details coming soon!
Sacred Heart Congress: Register your whole family for the 15th Annual Sacred Heart Congress and deepen your love for the Heart of Jesus. The morning will feature Bishop Earl K. Fernandes, Bishop Donald Hying, Annie Mitchell of the Son Rise Morning Show, and Emily Jaminet, along with Mass, the Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, and Benediction. Children are welcome! A special children’s program (K & Up) will be offered during the Congress and led by the Religious Sisters. Come be renewed in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and help bring His love into our homes, parish, and nation. Click

In Memoriam: Please pray for the repose of the soul of our recently deceased parishioner,
Jan Ritchie, and for the consolation of
her family.
Please Pray for the Repose of the Soul of Msgr. John Johnson: Today, we remember
Msgr. John Johnson as our diocese gathers to celebrate his Funeral Mass and entrust him to the Lord. While I did not know him well, I always enjoyed the opportunities I had to spend time with him and had great respect for him as a priest. He was well known for his expertise in canon law, but what stands out most to me was how genuinely he cared for others. His tragic passing is a great loss for the communities he served and for the priests of our diocese. Please join me in praying for the repose of his soul and for his family, brother priests, parishioners, and all those who knew and loved him. May the Lord welcome Msgr. Johnson into the fullness of eternal life and grant comfort and peace to all who mourn his passing.
