Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, This weekend we celebrate the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time: The bulletin for this weekend,
October 18, can be found

Please Pray for Pope Leo XIV: As many of you have heard, our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has been diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent surgery earlier this week to remove a portion of his right lung. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and he is recovering well. I ask you to join me in praying for his continued healing and a full recovery. May our Blessed Mother watch over him and may the Lord grant him strength, peace, and good health as he continues to shepherd the Church.
Greece Pilgrimage - In the Footsteps of St. Paul: This
Tuesday, October 20, I will depart with 50 fellow St. Paul parishioners on a pilgrimage to Greece, following in the footsteps of our patron saint, St. Paul. Over the next two weeks, we will visit many of the places where St. Paul preached and spread the Gospel, including Athens, Corinth, Ephesus, Philippi, and Thessaloniki. Please keep our pilgrims in your prayers, as we will be keeping you in ours.
Knights of Columbus Breakfast: The Knights of Columbus will be serving breakfast in Miller Hall
after the 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM Masses this Sunday, October 18. The menu includes breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, pancakes, grits (as available), fruit, bakery items, cereal, and a variety of drinks. Breakfast is
free, and donations are accepted. Come enjoy good food and fellowship with other parishioners!
Second Collection for St. Vincent de Paul: There will be a second collection next weekend,
October 24-25, for St. Vincent de Paul. Our SVDP Conference depends on these collections to continue its mission of assisting those in need. Thank you in advance for your financial support and prayers.
Columbus Catholic Young Adult Conference: Next Saturday, October 24, our parish will host the Columbus Catholic Young Adult Conference.
Approximately 200 young adults will be joining us for the 4:00 PM Mass, so please expect a larger crowd in our Church and parking lot. I invite you to pray for these young adults as they grow in faith and encounter Christ through this special gathering.
St. Gabriel Radio Interview: Tune in to St. Gabriel Radio AM 820 this Friday,
October 23 at 8:00 AM to hear my interview on
Lumen Gentium, the Second Vatican Council's Dogmatic Constitution on the Church. Click
here to listen live.
Looking Ahead to All Souls Day: On
Monday, November 2, we observe All Souls Day, a special day to remember and pray for all the faithful departed.
Masses will be celebrated at 6:30 AM, 8:15 AM, and 7:00 PM. While All Souls Day is not a holy day of obligation, I encourage you to join us for Mass as we pray for the souls of those who have gone before us.
Preparing Well: A Catholic Approach to Life, Death & Eternity: I hope you'll consider joining us for our upcoming
Preparing Well series on Wednesdays, November 4 and 11, from 9:30–11:00 AM in Lower Level 3. We've brought together knowledgeable speakers for two important panel discussions covering practical planning for the future and navigating difficult end-of-life decisions in light of our Catholic faith. Whether you're planning for yourself or caring for a loved one, these conversations can provide valuable guidance and peace of mind. Be sure to see this weekend's bulletin for more information about each session. I encourage you to join us for one or both events and invite a family member or friend to come along. Preparing well is an act of faith and love.
In Memoriam: Please pray for the repose of the souls of our recently deceased parishioners,
Michael Arnold,
Marty Yacobozzi, and
Tim Lott, and for the consolation of
their families. Marty was a founding member of our parish's Bereavement Committee, and we are grateful for her many years of service to those grieving the loss of a loved one.
Our Sunday Offering: I am grateful to the many parishioners who regularly give of their time, talent, and treasure to support our parish community. I can tell you from my personal experience that WeShare Online Giving is an easy, secure, and convenient platform. You can give online anytime by clicking
here. Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
